In this edition of Games Central, presented by Throne (https://www.thorne.com/), Sean Woodland and Annie Sakamoto tell us what’s new with Games athletes Emma Cary, Gabriela Migała, Sara Sigmundsdottir, Annie Thorisdottir, and Katrin Davidsdottir.
Teen phenom Cary has joined the Brute Strength training camp to prepare for the 2022 Games season. Six-time fittest woman in Poland Migała had her best individual Games finish this year and took third at the Rogue Invitational. Woodland and Sakamoto take a look at her CrossFit career and future as a Games athlete.
Iceland natives Sigmundsdottir, Thorisdottir, and Davidsdottir have an impact on and off the competition floor. Sigmundsdottir recently opened up on Instagram about body image and gender expectations, and Thorisdottir and Davidsdottir co-wrote a children’s book, which will be available next year.
As the year comes to an end, check out Sigmundsdottir at the Dubai CrossFit Championship, Dec. 16-18, and watch the 2018 CrossFit Games documentary on iTunes or Amazon on Dec. 7.
